White Label Recruitment is exclusively recruiting 2 Mechanical Design Engineers for an established engineering and manufacturing business based in Leeds.
The company specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke cranes, lifting systems and material handling equipment for demanding industrial applications. You’ll be joining an established engineering team working on large-scale, technically challenging equipment within a medium-to-heavy engineering environment.
The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for producing design layouts and manufacturing drawings for bespoke cranes and material handling applications.
You’ll work closely with engineering, production, procurement, installation and commissioning teams to deliver projects in line with customer requirements, cost, quality and programme targets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing design layouts and manufacturing drawings of material handling equipment
- Producing engineering calculations in line with recognised standards
- Producing purchase specifications and liaising with suppliers
- Reviewing and checking in-house and outsourced detail drawings
- Working within the company’s design review process
