Production & Operations Manager
Location: Ballynahinch, Co. Down Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (DOE) Relocation Allowance: £12,000 per annum (£1,000 per month, subject to agreed terms) Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
The Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing and independently owned company within the drinks manufacturing industry, for an experienced Production & Operations Manager to oversee their production facility based in County Down.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on, commercially minded manager to lead production operations, develop a high performing team and drive improvements in efficiency, quality and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations, including liquid preparation, bottling, packaging, warehousing and dispatch.
- Manage production schedules to ensure customer orders and business targets are met.
- Lead, motivate and develop the production team.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste and minimise downtime.
- Manage stock control, purchasing, inventory and logistics.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety and regulatory standards.
- Monitor production KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Report on operational performance, costs and production targets.
Essential Criteria
- Previous production or operations management experience within food, beverage, FMCG, packaging or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing and developing production teams.
- Strong understanding of production planning, stock control and operational efficiency.
- Experience driving continuous improvement and cost reduction.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving and leadership skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong commercial awareness.
Experience within beverage bottling, liquid processing or Lean Manufacturing would be advantageous
