Overview

As a Senior Business Analyst at SSE, you will drive the transformation of business operations within a flagship digital and agility-driven programme. You’ll collaborate with diverse stakeholders to capture needs, design future-state processes, and translate requirements into actionable solutions aligned with SSE’s strategic goals. The role focuses on enhancing the customer journey, data flows, and ways of working in an agile setting. Responsibilities

• Lead elicitation of business requirements from internal and external stakeholders using workshops and interviews (e.g., MoSCoW)
• Design future-state processes, data flows and ways of working aligned with digital transformation objectives
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and collaborate with development teams in agile sprints
• Document current-state processes, perform gap analyses and support Change Managers to enable smooth transitions
• Mentor and guide a team of Business Analysts to ensure consistent practices and high-quality outputs

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in business analysis within an agile delivery environment
• Proven leadership experience with mentoring BI Analysts
• Expertise in process design, process mapping, gap analysis, and Lean improvements
• Strong communication and facilitation skills across stakeholder levels
• Experience in energy and utilities sector, especially electricity networks or asset management (advantageous)
