Assistant Manager, Financial Due Diligence – Private Equity, Consumer and Business Services, M&A

Overview

In this role you help clients navigate and de-risk transactions by performing financial due diligence and related analyses within Deloitte’s Transaction Services team. You will work on both corporate and private equity deals, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify value drivers, risks, and commercial insights. The work blends technical financial review with practical deal support, across UK and international assignments. Responsibilities

• Develop an early understanding of the target business and its drivers
• Interpret and analyse information memoranda, business plans, and public information about the target
• Review historical trading, cash flow, and balance sheets
• Assess projections and underlying assumptions
• Evaluate working capital facilities, financing limits, terms and covenants
• Evaluate potential synergies and identify key risk or price-impacting issues
• Review sale and purchase agreements and connect findings to the due diligence process
• Review financial structures and related credit agreements
• Collaborate effectively in diverse, inclusive teams to contribute to the client outcome

Key requirements

• ACA qualification or equivalent
• Experience in M&A Transactions, Financial Due Diligence or strong knowledge of Private Equity, Consumer and Business Services
• High-level report writing and attention to detail, risk management focus
• Strong academic background or equivalent experience
• Good problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience working with senior stakeholders
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
