Platform Engineer II

Overview

As Platform Engineer II, you design and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure and empower development teams via an Internal Developer Platform. You collaborate with tech and operations to ensure reliability and rapid delivery, while advancing automation, security, and observability. You will build AI-enabled workflows and manage containerized deployments at scale, shaping how teams ship high-quality software. This role combines platform engineering with a focus on developer productivity and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) with self-service provisioning and deployment capabilities
• Design automated infrastructure using Bash/PowerShell, Python/Java, and Ansible
• Develop agentic AI workflows
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and deploy containerized applications at scale
• Create and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for testing, building, and deployment
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Datadog
• Ensure infrastructure security best practices and maintain documentation
• Collaborate with developers to improve onboarding, service templates, and IDP workflows

Key requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering
• Proven experience with IDP or developer productivity tools
• Strong shells scripting and programming (Bash/PowerShell and Python or Java)
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD
• Proficiency with Git and branching strategies
• Strong AI skills use
• Knowledge of monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana) and logging (ELK/Datadog)
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP
• Understanding of infrastructure and application security best practices
