Overview

As Lead Engineer – Services Engineering, you drive refurbishment, maintenance, and upgrade projects for production and intervention equipment. You act as the technical focal point across the project lifecycle and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet delivery milestones and quality standards. You translate customer needs into practical engineering solutions that enhance equipment reliability. This role sits at the intersection of engineering execution and customer-facing leadership, contributing to Baker Hughes’ mission of safer, cleaner, and more efficient energy. Responsibilities

• Lead refurbishment, repair, maintenance, and upgrade projects for production and intervention equipment
• Manage projects from PO receipt through engineering execution to final delivery
• Coordinate activities across engineering, operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to hit milestones
• Serve as primary technical interface for customers during project execution
• Produce and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, BOMs, and PLM records
• Support workshop activities to move equipment through refurbishment and testing
• Provide technical guidance and resolve engineering challenges for customers and internal stakeholders
• Support installation, commissioning, and post-delivery activities as required

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
• Proficiency in CREO and Mathcad for design and analysis
• Experience in oil and gas industry, preferably with production, intervention, or completion equipment
• Strong knowledge of refurbishment, maintenance, engineering modifications, or lifecycle support
• Experience managing engineering projects from initiation to delivery
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and collaborate across cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including customer-facing experience
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and develop high-quality engineering solutions
