Main Purpose of the Role

To act as the Senior SAP REM/CLM functional expert responsible for designing, configuring and delivering the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for SAP Real Estate Management and Contract Lifecycle Management as part of an S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation.

The consultant will lead the Explore phase through to go-live and hypercare, ensuring the CLM/REM solution is correctly designed, integrated with SAP Finance, Procurement and Public Sector Management, and aligned with Planon for real estate and contract master data.

The role will also involve working directly with the customer, leading workshops, configuration, testing, training and solution sign-off.

Key Responsibilities

SAP REM / CLM – NON-NEGOTIABLE

• Deep SAP Real Estate Management (REM) functional and configuration experience.
• Strong Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) experience, including the full contract lifecycle from creation through to close-out.
• Lead SAP Activate Explore phase activities, including fit-to-standard workshops and gap analysis.
• Design and configure the SAP CLM/REM solution.
• Define contract types, contract schemas and approval workflows.
• Configure and validate contract templates and monitoring rules.
• Lead the MVP design and delivery through to go-live and hypercare.
• Prepare and document functional designs and configuration requirements.
• Support the customer with solution walkthroughs and obtain formal sign-off.

Integration & Technical Responsibilities

• Design and validate integration between SAP CLM/REM and SAP Finance.
• Work with SAP Procurement processes and integration points.
• Understanding of FI – Contract Accounting integration.
• Experience or understanding of SAP Public Sector Management (PSM).
• Work closely with the Planon implementation team.
• Align contract master data between SAP and Planon.
• Define data ownership, data flows and synchronisation requirements.
• Knowledge of relevant SAP Fiori applications.
• Support system integration testing and resolve functional defects.

Testing, Training & Go-Live

• Prepare UAT test scripts and support UAT activities.
• Support system integration testing (SIT).
• Manage and resolve functional defects.
• Provide L3 support during hypercare.
• Design and deliver end-user training.
• Support the business through go-live and stabilisation.

Customer & Project Management

• Lead customer workshops and communicate complex SAP processes clearly.
• Manage activities across the SAP project lifecycle.
• Work collaboratively with SAP, Planon and local-authority project teams.
• Ensure deliverables are completed against the wider project timeline.
• Provide guidance on UK public-sector procurement and compliance requirements.
• Maintain a cloud-first / SAP best-practice approach.

Qualifications / Experience

Essential

• 3–6+ years SAP experience at minimum, although strong senior-level REM/CLM experience is required.
• Demonstrable SAP REM functional consultancy experience.
• Proven SAP CLM implementation experience.
• Experience working across the full SAP project lifecycle.
• Experience with S/4HANA implementations.
• Experience delivering configuration, testing, go‑live and hypercare.
• Strong stakeholder/customer‑facing consultancy skills.
