EMEA Solution Engineering Manager – Observability

Overview

As EMEA Solution Engineering Manager, you lead and develop a high-performing pre-sales team focused on observability. You partner with regional sales leadership to align resources with high-value opportunities and guide customers in migrating observability workloads to Snowflake, enabling large-scale analysis of logs, metrics, and traces. You’ll showcase Snowflake’s capabilities through compelling demos and proofs of concept, shaping the observability roadmap with product and engineering. This role combines technical leadership with market-facing influence across EMEA, driven by impact and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach and develop a team of Solution Engineers for EMEA observability opportunities
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Directors to define territory strategy and align resources to top opportunities
• Deliver compelling demos and proofs of concept for ingesting, storing, and querying high-volume observability data
• Guide customers to migrate observability workloads onto Snowflake AI Data Cloud using Snowpark, Streamlit, and Cortex
• Serve as escalation point for complex technical discovery, architecture, and competitive positioning
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to feed field feedback into the observability roadmap
• Represent Snowflake at EMEA field events, briefings, and industry conferences as a technical leader

Key requirements

• 8+ years in solution engineering, sales engineering, or technical pre-sales with data/platform/observability experience
• 2+ years leading or mentoring technical teams in a pre-sales or customer-facing role
• Strong understanding of observability concepts (logs, metrics, traces) and modern monitoring
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and SQL; credible with practitioners and executives
• Experience selling or implementing enterprise solutions across EMEA
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; English fluency
• Ability to travel across the EMEA region
