Finance Manager – Construction Sector

CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting a Finance Manager for a well-established and growing business in the construction sector. This office-based role near Hemel Hempstead pays £60,000 – £64,000 plus an attractive benefits package. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the finance function and work closely with senior colleagues across the business. It is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, qualified Finance Manager to make a real impact in a busy, varied role.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Leading and developing the finance team and producing the monthly management accounts and reporting
- Reviewing contract CVRs, work in progress and margins, and supporting commercial decisions
- Managing cashflow forecasting, credit control, the purchase ledger and payment runs
- Overseeing payroll, VAT, CIS and Corporation Tax compliance
- Preparing consolidation reporting and intercompany reconciliations, and leading the year-end audit
What Experience is Required
- Qualified Finance Professional
- Strong knowledge of FRS 102, UK VAT, CIS and PAYE
- Proven team management experience; a background in construction or contracting would be an advantage
Salary & Benefits
£60,000 – £64,000 per annum, plus a strong benefits package including a company car, pension and private medical insurance.
Location
The role is office based near Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, Monday to Friday. It is an easy commute from Watford, St Albans, Berkhamsted, Rickmansworth, Abbots Langley and Tring.
