Commercial Lead

Overview

In this Commercial Lead role, you drive commercial excellence across major UK and EMEA projects within a global construction consultancy. You will lead commercial teams, manage client interfaces, and govern risk, change control, and contractual obligations to ensure successful project outcomes. You’ll work with senior stakeholders to align commercial strategy with client objectives and business goals. This is a high-impact position shaping large-scale infrastructure and hyperscale data centre programs, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage commercial teams on major projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and business goals
• Act as primary client interface, building relationships with senior stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage commercial risk, change control, and contractual obligations with robust governance and reporting
• Provide strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in project delivery and commercial management
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture emphasizing accountability and innovation
• Support growth initiatives and contribute to key account management across UK & EMEA

Key requirements

• Significant experience delivering large-scale construction, infrastructure, or data centre projects
• Proven leadership in managing commercial teams within complex environments
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, commercial management, claims, and change control
• Excellent stakeholder management with ability to influence at all levels
• Strong commercial acumen with strategic thinking and practical delivery experience
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or related discipline
