Apply for the OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR / CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATOR – (PART-TIME)
Location: Bures
Job Description:

An Office Administrator / Construction Administrator is needed to join Valori London, an established, family run demolition contractor based in a beautiful rural location just north of Colchester, Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised, dependable professional who enjoys taking ownership, getting things done and making a genuine difference to how a business operates.

With over 50 years of demolition experience, Valori London handles everything from residential and commercial demolition to complex city centre projects. This is a traditional, family run business with a close team, plenty of character and an informal, practical working environment. The office, within a farmyard setting, is a small, independent space where site teams come and go throughout the day.

As an Office Administrator, your role will go well beyond traditional administration. Working closely with the directors, you’ll help keep the business running smoothly, from managing enquiries, invoices, purchase orders and supplier records to supporting tenders, project documentation, job costing and general office operations. You’ll also maintain important compliance records, including Right to Work checks, insurance renewals, training certifications, health and safety documentation and audit preparation.

A key priority will be making better use of Construction Manager software and improving existing administrative processes. Valori is keen to modernise its systems and welcomes someone confident enough to suggest improvements, take initiative and introduce practical changes that make everyday operations more efficient.

This role will suit someone who is resilient, level headed and comfortable working in a challenging construction environment. You’ll need to be a confident communicator, happy juggling competing priorities and equally comfortable working independently or supporting colleagues. Above all, you’ll be someone the directors can rely on to take responsibility and get things done.

To qualify: You should be an experienced Office Administrator, Construction Administrator, Office Coordinator or similar with a CV that demonstrates…

  • Proven office administration experience with exceptional organisation, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Experience using Construction Manager software, alongside strong Microsoft Office and general IT skills
  • Confidence using online customer and contractor portals
  • Experience carrying out Right to Work checks and online verification processes
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems and work proactively without supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a calm, reliable and positive approach
  • GCSE qualifications including English and Maths, plus a full driving licence, own transport and the right to work in the UK

Experience within construction or demolition, alongside knowledge of health and safety, finance or invoicing, would be advantageous.

In return, you’ll join an established family business where your contribution will genuinely matter. Expect a varied role, considerable autonomy and the opportunity to improve how things are done. This is a permanent, part-time (9:30-14:30 Mon to Fri), office based position offering £15 to £18 per hour (depending on experience), a six month probationary period, a prorated holiday allowance equivalent to 28 days full time (including bank holidays), on site parking and consistent working hours with no overtime.

If you’re looking for a role where you’re trusted to take ownership, bring organisation to a busy environment and become a valued part of the business, we’d love to hear from you.
