Product Owner

Overview

In this role, you will own the full lifecycle of AI-enabled products within a regulated enterprise setting. You will collaborate with product owners, engineers, and data scientists to translate business needs into technical roadmaps, balancing innovation with governance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to prioritise requirements, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement aligned to the product roadmap. This is a values-driven, governance-aware position at the Barclays CTO office focusing on enterprise AI initiatives with meaningful business impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject-matter expertise to align product owner and technical teams
• Support the development and communication of product strategy and roadmap
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise requirements based on business value and feasibility
• Develop and implement assessments for continuous testing and product quality
• Monitor product performance and identify optimisation opportunities
• Stay updated on industry tech trends to adopt improved development approaches
• Own the full product lifecycle from discovery to deployment in a regulated environment

Key requirements

• Proven experience delivering products in enterprise agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
• Strong understanding of AI capabilities, use cases, and business applications
• Track record translating business requirements into technical roadmaps for engineering and data science teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder expectations and clearly communicate product vision
