Senior Financial Reporting Manager (Technical Accounting)

Overview

In this role you will apply advanced technical accounting expertise to complex IFRS matters, shaping how the organisation accounts for new initiatives and changes. You will own statutory financial statements and lead year-end and interim audits, serving as the go-to technical accounting expert for governance forums and senior stakeholders. You will develop accounting papers, influence policy decisions, and drive improvements to reporting processes and controls. Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting assessments for new initiatives and changes
• Research and apply IFRS to complex matters, producing clear recommendations
• Own preparation of statutory financial statements
• Lead year-end and interim audits; be main point of contact for auditors
• Prepare papers and presentations for senior leadership and governance forums
• Support development of financial reporting processes, controls and disclosures
• Translate complex regulatory arrangements into appropriate accounting treatments
• Review financial models and accounting assumptions; challenge where appropriate
• Provide guidance on emerging accounting developments and policy changes
• Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, governance, and audit readiness

Key requirements

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent
• Strong IFRS knowledge and technical accounting expertise
• Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
• Proven track record managing external audits
• Ability to analyse complex accounting issues and propose practical solutions
• Experience preparing accounting papers, memos, or board reports
• Advanced Excel and financial systems skills
