Staff Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you will own features end-to-end across Rust services, backend systems, and frontend interfaces to power AI-driven financial analysis. You’ll work in a small, technical team in Hoxton, delivering high-quality software that integrates AI agents into Excel. You’ll collaborate with design and leverage AI development tools to improve the agent’s capabilities, performance, and context handling. This is an opportunity to shape an early-stage product and grow towards technical leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end features across Rust services, backend, and frontend
• Leverage AI tooling (Claude Code, Cursor) to deliver quality software quickly
• Improve AI agent tools, execution framework, and context usage
• Optimise performance across services, queries, caching, and memory
• Enhance backend infrastructure and CI, diagnose low-level bugs
• Collaborate with design to deliver polished, consistent user experiences
• Take increasing ownership of the product
