Job Description:
The University of Southampton invites applications for a PhD project on Mathematical Modelling of Poro-Mechanics of Soil, within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences.
The project will build models of real soils, addressing heterogeneous moisture cycles and multiphase flow, with potential applications in geotechnics and environmental engineering. The research focuses on coupled soil mechanics and water flow and plant–soil interactions.
