Overview

As a Technology Consultant, you help manufacturing customers solve operational challenges using Rockwell Automation tech. You’ll support engagements with sales, partners, and customers, delivering demos, proofs-of-concept, and workshops that connect automation data to actionable outcomes. You’ll work across PLCs, edge and cloud-enabled solutions, and AI-enabled workflows, solving tangible problems in a consultative, customer-facing role. This hybrid UK position travels regionally to engage clients and train teams, driving digital transformation and measurable value.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical advisor for automation and industrial IoT solutions across the region
• Develop and deliver demos, proofs-of-concept, and workshops linking PLCs, data sources, edge tech, and enterprise systems
• Support sales, distributors, and channel partners with technical training, solution positioning, and customer engagements
• Apply industrial IoT, Docker, and Agentic AI technologies to demonstrate real-world manufacturing use cases and value
• Translate customer goals into scalable automation and digital transformation solutions

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Hands-on PLC programming and industrial automation experience
• Working knowledge of industrial networks, HMI/SCADA, and OT/IT integration
• Experience in customer-facing technical consulting, solution development, or pre-sales
• Strong written and spoken English
• Ability to travel up to 50% and valid driver’s licence
