About ITZA

At ITZA, we empower young people to engage with real-world topics through cinematic, high-impact digital learning content. We are passionate about fostering interdependent learning, where students build core knowledge through online learning before collaborating with teachers and peers through discussions and project-based activities, building essential skills for the future workplace.

Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic current or former teacher in Scotland to join us as a School Facilitator. In this role, you will lead ITZA’s growth and adoption across Scottish schools. Combining your firsthand classroom experience with a passion for transforming teaching practice, you will build relationships at both the strategic level (Local Authorities) and the grassroots level (direct school engagements, product demonstrations, and staff sessions).

This is a flexible, freelance, part-time opportunity designed around the academic calendar—giving you complete freedom during school holidays while making a measurable impact during term time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Local Authority Engagement: Connect with educational directors, Quality Improvement Officers (QIOs), and digital learning leads across Scottish Local Authorities to secure buy-in and region-wide adoption.
  • School Outreach & Demonstrations: Visit primary and secondary schools across Scotland to deliver engaging product demonstrations, showcase real classroom use-cases, and lead professional learning sessions for teaching staff.
  • Teacher Support & Advocacy: Act as a trusted peer and mentor to educators, helping them seamlessly integrate ITZA into their daily teaching practice, while ensuring alignment with Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence (CfE).
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term, collaborative relationships with key decision-makers, school leaders, and digital learning coordinators.
  • Feedback Loop: Gather insights and feedback directly from educators in the field to help guide ITZA’s ongoing product development and content strategy.

Requirements & Experience

  • Teaching Background: Current or former teaching experience in Scotland with a thorough understanding of the Scottish education system, Curriculum for Excellence (CfE), and current school priorities.
  • Passion for Pedagogy: Genuine enthusiasm for improving teaching practice and supporting fellow educators with practical, engaging digital tools.
  • Presentation & Facilitation Skills: Confident communicator capable of inspiring and engaging groups of teachers, headteachers, and local authority stakeholders.
  • Mobility & Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel to schools and local authority offices across Scotland as required.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to manage your own schedule, prioritise outreach targets, and work independently with accountability.
  • Established networks or contacts within Scottish Local Authorities or Regional Improvement Collaboratives (RICs).
  • Experience with digital learning technologies, edtech platforms, or educational consulting/sales.

Working Pattern & Package

Contract Type: Freelance / Subcontractor basis.

Hours: Part-time with flexible timing (mutually agreed based on outreach demand and candidate availability).

School Holidays: No work commitments required during Scottish school holiday periods.

Location & Travel: Field-based across Scotland with remote working for admin/planning tasks.

Compensation: Competitive daily rate (commensurate with experience) plus full reimbursement for business travel expenses.

Why Join ITZA?

  • Autonomy & Flexibility: Enjoy a role designed to fit around your existing commitments and personal lifestyle.
  • Direct Impact: Directly support Scottish teachers, help reduce workload friction, and introduce engaging learning experiences to classrooms.
  • Innovative Community: Work alongside a dedicated, forward-thinking team passionate about modernising digital education.
