Salesforce Technical Lead

Overview

In this role you will lead the design and delivery of complex, production-grade Salesforce solutions for public sector clients, shaping architecture and engineering practices. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, secure, and scalable implementations while mentoring others and driving continuous improvement. Your leadership will help manage risk, delivery forecasts, and stakeholder communications in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and build of scalable, secure Salesforce solutions aligned to architectural standards
• Provide technical leadership, guide solution design and implementation approaches
• Own accurate estimation and proactively manage dependencies and risks
• Maintain clear communication with delivery leads, product owners and stakeholders with progress updates and mitigation actions
• Foster a quality-first engineering culture, ensuring testable, maintainable, production-ready solutions
• Identify and resolve technical issues early and escalate risks with pragmatic solutions
• Mentor junior team members and drive consistent standards across teams and environments
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, design workshops and planning sessions to enable predictable delivery

Key requirements

• 7+ years Salesforce platform experience
• Proven experience leading technical delivery on enterprise Salesforce programmes
• Apex, LWC, integration architecture, and data modelling expertise
• Strong understanding of Salesforce development patterns and governor limits
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (Copado, Gearset, Git-based workflows)
• Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, data platforms or external systems
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Familiarity with public sector regulations (GDPR, FOIA) and procurement processes
• Security clearance: willingness to obtain / confirm current SC clearance; note: NPPV3 clearance required
