Overview

Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Nuffield Health designs, builds, and maintains robust cloud and on‑prem infrastructure to support healthcare applications. Responsibilities

• Design and evolve cloud and on‑prem infrastructure with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance, including migration of apps/databases to Azure
• Implement identity, access control, and security best practices (Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault, secure baselines, patching)
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or CloudFormation
• Collaborate with DevOps, Networking, Security, and Engineering teams to deliver integrated Azure Cloud platform solutions and maintain documentation
• Manage patching, vulnerability remediation, and secure configuration baselines

Key requirements

• Hands-on Azure Cloud infrastructure experience (IaaS, PaaS, Serverless)
• Experience with IaC tooling (Terraform) for provisioning and automation
• Strong Windows Server and Linux skills; automation scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
• Experience with Azure identity services (Entra ID), RBAC, managed identities, and Key Vault
• Designing/supporting highly available and resilient cloud environments (backup, restore, DR)
• Solid cloud security understanding (hardening, patching, vulnerability management)
• Networking fundamentals (load balancing, DNS, firewalls, VPNs)
• Experience with monitoring/observability (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, New Relic)
• Cost optimization across environments
