We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic
Chef de Partie / Junior Sous Chef
to join our team in a
multi-site, roving role
across our venues in and around Colchester.This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys variety, wants to develop their skills and takes pride in producing
fresh, well-prepared food to a consistently high standard .You’ll be working across a group of individual venues, supporting different kitchen teams and helping maintain the standards that our guests have come to expect,
cooking great food, working with fresh ingredients and being part of a good kitchen team.
The role
As a CDP / Junior Sous, you’ll be an important part of the kitchen team, working alongside our Head Chefs and Sous Chefs across multiple sites.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing and cooking fresh ingredients to a high standardWorking across different sections of the kitchen as requiredSupporting the Sous and Head Chef with the smooth running of the kitchenMaintaining excellent food quality, presentation and consistencyHelping to lead and support kitchen teams when working at different sitesEnsuring food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards are maintainedAssisting with prep, service and close-downHelping less experienced members of the team develop their skillsAdapting quickly to different kitchens, menus and teams
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is
passionate about food, reliable and keen to be part of a great kitchen team .You’ll ideally have:Experience working as a CDP, Junior Sous or in a similar senior kitchen roleA genuine passion for fresh food and good cookingGood knowledge of kitchen standards and food hygieneThe ability to work well under pressure during busy servicesA positive, hands-on attitudeGood communication and teamwork skillsThe confidence to work across different sites and kitchen teamsA willingness to learn and developWe’re also very open to experienced chefs who may have previously worked at a higher level but are now looking for a role with less management responsibility and more focus on cooking.

full driving licence and access to transport
would be required due to the multi-site nature of the role.
