Days & Hours: Approx 15 hours per week

• Monday – Friday: 3pm to 6pm
• Additional hours available if wanted during the school holidays

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN; 2+ years’ experience
• Experience supporting autistic children, ideally including children with communication and sensory needs
• Friendly, patient, and nurturing approach, particularly when supporting a child with limited verbal communication
• Energetic, proactive and creative, with the ability to plan engaging after-school activities while responding flexibly to G8’s energy and regulation needs
• Vigilant, responsible and safety-conscious, particularly when supporting G8 outside the home and in the community
• Confident supporting G8’s communication naturally through everyday interaction, play, modelling language, offering choices, singing and encouraging her to express her needs and preferences
• A strong communicator who will maintain open, regular communication with parents and work collaboratively with the family
