Are you a Controls & Design Engineer looking for a role where you can work across design, control systems, product development and continuous improvement?This could be an excellent opportunity to join an established engineering team in Suffolk, working on a varied range of projects where your ideas and technical input can make a real difference.You’ll be involved in a broad range of engineering activities, including:Producing CAD drawings, schematics and Bills of MaterialsNew product development, testing and validationDeveloping and testing control systemsContinuous improvement of existing productsProducing technical documentation, manuals and work instructionsEngineering administration, including BOMs and part number creationProviding application support to customers and colleaguesResearching new technologies and engineering solutionsThere will also be opportunities for UK and international travel to visit customers and attend exhibitions.We’re interested in engineers with a strong technical mindset and a genuine desire to learn and develop. Ideally, you’ll have:A degree/HND/HNC-level background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Product Design – desirable rather than essentialCAD experience, preferably SolidWorksExperience with electrical and diesel control systemsKnowledge of PLCs, Codesys and scripting would be highly advantageousExperience with rotating machinery, steel fabrication and/or control systemsMost importantly, you’ll be self-motivated, inquisitive and practical, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.This is a varied engineering role offering exposure to design, controls, product development and continuous improvement, within a UK engineering team that forms part of a wider global organisation.If you’re an engineer who enjoys solving problems, developing products and turning ideas into practical engineering solutions, we’d like to hear from you.
