Solution Architect (Healthcare)

Overview

As a Solution Architect (Manager) at Kainos, you lead multi-skilled agile teams to design and deliver high-quality solutions that delight customers and improve user outcomes. You advise customers and managers on design options, effort, and complexity while coaching a growing team. You set direction on policy, share knowledge, and explore new technologies to drive impactful outcomes in a collaborative, people-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Design and validate functional and non-functional architectures with customer architects
• Advise on effort estimates, technical implications, and design complexity
• Coach, develop, and manage performance of junior staff
• Provide technical leadership, set standards, and mentor peers
• Stay current with technologies and introduce new approaches to projects

Key requirements

• Delivered software designs for multi-tier applications
• Experience with whole solution architecture concepts and communicating with customer architects
• Ability to prioritise non-functional requirements in design
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) including SaaS and PaaS
• Clear communication of technical designs in different formats
• Decisive in fast-moving delivery environments
• Proven ability to coach and develop junior members of the team
