Seaview House Private Nursing Home is a independent nursing home located overlooking Ballyholme Bay in Bangor, county down. We are registered for 22 residents and have a small, friendly team and are looking for the right candidate to join as a Housekeeper. We offer flexible hours and work/ life balance.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prioritise workload of housekeeping duties and laundry duties daily.
- Maintain & implement cleaning regimes (daily, weekly, periodically etc) for all areas of the Care Home internal and external (including those maintained by Kitchen Staff), in line with the Companys attention to detail philosophy and ensuring strict infection control measures.
- Ensure the home is presented to its best on all occasions and is free from odour
- Assist staff daily in ensuring all lounge areas, bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy, including making beds, removing rubbish, watering plants, drawing curtains, changing calendar dates, removing old papers/magazines etc as needed.
- Ensure all residents have their room maintained showing a high standard of maintenance, cleanliness, tidiness and homeliness.
- Ensure the home is free from clutter, inside and out, and meets with health and safety standards at all times
- Assist the Home Manager in the management of the admission process, ensuring all bedrooms are ready and fit for occupancy in accordance with the Pre-admission assessment.
- Manage the dining experience dining rooms and tray service – ensuring the environment is conducive to a pleasant experience for all residents.
- Ensure that the following are carried out at appropriate intervals in all areas of the Care Home (including those maintained by Kitchen Staff), in line with the Companys attention to detail philosophy.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
* Experience of housekeeping in another care setting or hotel environment.
* Previous supervisory experience in a housekeeping role
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written
* A Team player who listens and acts with the best intentions at all times
* Satisfactory Access NI check
*Acceptance and adherence to the Companies Living Values

* Highly organised with an exceptional eye for detail
* Knowledge / experience of health and safety legislation
