Transport Line Manager

Our client, a leading wholesale company, are seeking a Transport Line Manager to join their team in Duncrue.

• Pay:£38 – 43k DOE
• Hours:Monday – Friday 5/6am – 1/2pm / 10/11am – 6/7pm (Some Saturday’s are included, this will be paid at a premium payment)

The Role:

• Lead, motivate and continually develop the Transport team by working in a harmonious atmosphere
• Lead the team by example working in accordance with company procedures
• Organise, plan, and manage the day to day transport operation
• Ensure company compliance is maintained in line with transport legislation and procedures e.g. tachograph, Digi card, fleet management and Good Distribution Practice
• Ensure the safety, health and welfare at work of your employees
• Liaise with all stakeholders internal and external to manage and maintain a flexible team-based approach
• Compile annual budgetary requirements for transport admin and drivers including payroll
• Prepare and implement strategic development plan for the transport function in conjunction with Senior Management. (full list of responsibilities available upon

Criteria:

• 3+ years experience in a national logistics operation with regular multi-drop deliveries and transport scheduling
• 1+ years experience managing a large team in a fast-paced, customer-focused transport environment
• Strong background in transport management, including holding an up-to-date CPC National & International qualification
• Solid understanding of distribution operations, including Health & Safety, HACCP, and compliance processes
• Working knowledge of driver hours, tachographs, and transport legislation.
• Experience managing budgets, producing KPIs, and presenting performance data at senior level
