Job Description:

Permanent | International, multi-entity business

Ready to take the lead on financial control in a hyper growth business with a genuinely international footprint?

**This role is for someone who is keen to shape the future with AI, building tech stacks, automating and loves what AI can to to improve a business**

We’re looking for a technically strong, hands-on Group Financial Controller to lead a global Financial Control function. Reporting to the VP, Group Finance, you’ll have a broad remit across group reporting, technical accounting, tax governance and financial controls, while helping build the processes and capability needed to support the business as it grows.

This is a role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, can guide others through complex accounting issues and knows how to turn sound financial control into a practical advantage for the wider business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead group consolidation and month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Own technical accounting policies and judgements, including revenue recognition, foreign currency, intercompany transactions and complex commercial arrangements.
  • Lead the accounting workstreams of an IFRS readiness programme, developing and embedding consistent policies.
  • Oversee tax governance and compliance, including corporate tax, VAT and transfer pricing, working with specialist advisers and confidently challenging their recommendations.
  • Strengthen the control environment, balance sheet governance, reconciliations and statutory reporting.
  • Lead external audits and build effective relationships with auditors and advisers.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, improving supplier payments, invoicing, collections and working capital processes.
  • Drive accounting process improvements, automation and the financial control elements of an ERP implementation.
  • Support fundraising, due diligence, acquisitions and the set-up of new entities or business models.
  • Lead and develop the Financial Control team, setting clear standards and building technical capability.

What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience in group financial control or technical accounting within an international, multi-entity organisation.
  • Strong IFRS knowledge and experience with implementation, conversion or technical accounting projects.
  • Expertise in consolidation, complex accounting judgements, revenue recognition and statutory reporting.
  • Experience overseeing audits, tax compliance, AP and AR, and financial control frameworks.
  • The confidence to assess and challenge external advice, alongside the judgement to know when to bring in specialist support.
  • A practical, hands-on approach, with the communication skills to work effectively across Finance and the wider business.

Experience in a high-growth or acquisitive business, ERP transformation, fundraising or acquisition accounting would be useful. A background in a complex, international organisation is particularly relevant.

Why consider it?

You’ll have the breadth to shape how financial control works across an international group, lead an important IFRS readiness programme and make a visible difference to reporting quality, governance and the team around you.
