M&E Site Supervisor

Company: VickerStock
Apply for the M&E Site Supervisor
Location: Enniskillen
Job Description:

M&E Site Supervisor | Water and Wastewater | Fermanagh If you are an M&E supervisor living in the west and spending half your week on the road to Belfast, this is worth a conversation. A major utilities contractor is hiring a Mechanical and Electrical Site Supervisor to look after maintenance work on water and wastewater sites across County Fermanagh. The role sits on a long-term maintenance framework, so this is steady, local work with a pipeline behind it rather than a single project that ends in six months. You will take charge of one site at a time, see the job through, then move on to the next. The work is a genuine mix of mechanical and electrical, so no two jobs are quite the same. It is a newly created position, added as the business grows its team in Northern Ireland.

Why this opportunity?

  • Local work in Fermanagh on sites you can get to without a two-hour commute
  • One site at a time, so you can focus on running each job properly instead of firefighting across several
  • A long-term framework, giving you security and a clear run of work ahead
  • A new role in a growing team, with training and development backed by the business
  • Essential infrastructure work that matters to the communities you live in

Your new role as M&E Site Supervisor You will be the person who makes things happen on site. That means organising your labour and subcontractors, keeping the job safe and on programme, and making sure the quality is right before you sign it off. Day to day, you will run the site paperwork and briefings (RAMS, permits, inductions, toolbox talks), keep an eye on subcontractor safety and performance, and keep good records of what has been done, by whom and with what. You will also be the main face on site for the client and anyone else involved in the works.

What you will need to succeed

  • Experience supervising mechanical, electrical or M&E work on site, ideally in water, wastewater, utilities, process or industrial maintenance
  • The confidence to run a site on your own and deal directly with clients and subcontractors
  • An engineering qualification at HNC level or above is preferred
  • SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS or SHEA, First Aid, Confined Space (Medium Risk) and CDM awareness
  • Some familiarity with NEC contracts
  • A full driving licence
  • A Lift Supervisor ticket would be a bonus, however it is not a deal breaker

This could suit an experienced Site Supervisor, an M&E Chargehand or Foreman ready for the next step, or a Site Manager who would rather work closer to home.

What’s in it for you?

  • £40,000 to £45,000, inclusive of car allowance
  • 24 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Pension and life assurance
  • Ongoing training and development
