An excellent opportunity for a technically strong Finance Manager to join a leading global construction business in a key role supporting its complex financial operations and wider business activities.
Working closely with senior finance colleagues and stakeholders across the business, you’ll take ownership of core financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and compliance with relevant accounting standards. The role will involve a broad range of technical accounting and financial management responsibilities, alongside opportunities to support process improvements, enhance reporting, and contribute to the ongoing development of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee key financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Manage month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial information.
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and other financial reporting requirements.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and financial matters.
- Maintain and enhance financial controls, accounting policies, and reporting procedures.
- Support audit processes, liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting efficiency.
- Work closely with wider finance and operational teams on a range of financial and technical matters.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Experience managing financial processes within a complex organisation.
- Good knowledge of relevant accounting standards, financial controls, and statutory reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- A proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a demanding environment.
