Overview

As Head of Future Training Technologies and Innovation, lead the Learning Technology Strategy for the Training Business Unit and drive digital learning initiatives. You will partner with senior leaders and specialists to shape scalable, tech-enabled training that improves outcomes and customer satisfaction. This role blends strategic roadmap work with hands-on implementation, across UK sites and remote/hybrid settings. You’ll champion innovative solutions, including AI-enabled training, to keep the business competitive and responsive. A clear impact: transform how training is delivered in a national security context.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Learning Technology Strategy and technology roadmap aligned to business objectives
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend learning technologies, AI solutions, and digital training platforms
• Engage with suppliers, customers, and senior stakeholders to assess requirements and influence investment decisions
• Lead technology implementation activities including business cases, procurement, testing, adoption, and benefits realisation
• Monitor emerging technology trends and identify opportunities to improve learner experience, training outcomes, and business performance
• Travel and work across a range of internal and customer sites as required

Key requirements

• Strong experience in learning technology, digital learning, training systems, or a related field
• Experience translating training, operational, or customer requirements into technology solutions
• Experience evaluating technology products, SaaS platforms, or digital services and influencing investment decisions
• Strong understanding of training processes and how technology can improve learning outcomes
• Proven experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
