Expert Construction are delighted to be working in partnership with this established Ballymena based Main Contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
With a reputation for excellence and quality across all of their delivered projects, they have worked across multiple sectors including: Education, Commercial, Retail, Hospitality, Ecclesiastical, Industrial and Residential , building a strong Commercial team as they grow.
Crucially, all of these completed and future projects have been , and will be, based in Northern Ireland.
With a number of successfully tendered projects due to come to site in the next 6 months, they are seeking to add to bolster this Commercial team with the addition of a Senior QS.
With at least 5-6 years working as a Senior QS in the Commercial, Education, Ecclesiastical or Hospitality sectors, the successful candidate will be responsible for :
- Own the commercial performance of projects from handover to final account.
- Initially take responsibility for a number of range projects, valued between £5-10m
- Preparation of feasibility studies, reporting on tenders and agreeing final accounts
- Preparation of Client quotations and budgets
- Monthly valuations , cost reporting .
- Lead monthly commercial reviews and provide clear, commercially focused reporting
- Help develop commercial systems and processes as the business grows.
- Mentor and develop Junior / Intermediate commercial team members.
- Build strong relationships, trust and rapport with Clients
Youll ideally have:
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Senior QS or Commercial Manager.
- Strong contract and commercial knowledge.
- Experience managingforecasting, valuations, variations and final accounts.
- The confidence to challenge, negotiate and make commercial decisions.
- A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work closely with project teams.
- A QS, Commercial Management or related qualification is desirable

Salary: Market leading
Working Hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour week
