Overview

In this role you will own and evolve the organisation’s internal IT infrastructure and security operations to enable cutting-edge cyber security research. You’ll work in a small, highly skilled team with significant autonomy, leading infrastructure projects from concept to delivery. You’ll blend cloud, security, networking, and governance to build secure, resilient platforms that support critical research activities. Responsibilities

• Manage Windows and Linux endpoints: provisioning, patching, compliance, and endpoint management
• Administer Microsoft 365, identity management, SSO integrations, certificates, and user lifecycle processes
• Operate and enhance security tooling for monitoring, vulnerability management, endpoint security, and remediation
• Coordinate external penetration testing activities and security improvement programmes
• Maintain and develop AWS cloud infrastructure and supporting business systems
• Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
• Lead Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification activities
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, asset management, and IT governance processes
• Identify and deliver improvements that enhance security, resilience, and operational efficiency
