Financial Controller

Overview

In this role you lead ArtsEd’s Finance Department to safeguard accurate financial records and robust controls. You deliver timely financial reporting and manage core processes such as management accounting, payroll, taxes, and cash management. You support the Director of Finance and Operations with insightful analysis and scalable financial systems, working with budget holders to strengthen accountability. You will develop the Finance Team and ensure compliant, efficient operations that support the school’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Ensure integrity of financial records and robust financial controls
• Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting
• Lead core finance processes: management accounting, statutory accounts preparation, payroll oversight, fees administration, cash management, taxation and compliance
• Provide high-quality financial analysis and maintain effective financial systems and processes
• Collaborate with budget holders across the organisation to promote strong financial management and accountability
• Lead and develop the Finance Team; ensure operations are delivered efficiently and in regulatory and organisational compliance
