This fun-loving family are looking for a nurturing and proactive Nanny to care for their 1 year old son, 2 days a week in Bristol. They would love to find someone who is passionate about supporting his developmental needs and interests, someone who brings their own ideas, energy and enthusiasm to the child’s days. It is key that you take the initiative in creating stimulating and enriching activities such as exploring nature, going to toddler groups, enjoying music or sensory experiences. Music, laughter and connection are a big part of their family life, so someone playful, kind and full of positive energy would be a wonderful fit. They would like someone who can build on his interests and encourage confidence and independence through age appropriate activities. Your duties will be all child related and the child’s care and development is always the priority but some help with laundry, batch cooking nourishing meals for him, tidying play areas, emptying and loading the dishwasher would be greatly appreciated. Dad’s 15 year old daughter lives with them 50% of the time but there is no care required for her.
They can be flexible with the 2 days you work between Monday-Thursday and the hours would be 10am-6pm, ideally with a later start/finish on one of the days of 11am-7pm.
Mum is very nurturing and puts a lot of thought into understanding her child’s needs and making him feel seen, heard, safe and loved. If you share this approach, balancing warmth, patience and affection with gentle, consistent boundaries and age appropriate manners this could be the job for you.
