Lead Business Analyst in Markets Treasury Technology

Overview

As a Lead Business Analyst in Citi’s Markets Treasury Technology team, you will bridge business stakeholders and development to shape intraday liquidity solutions. You will leverage data analysis to understand current ecosystems, identify gaps, and translate business needs into technical design. You’ll collaborate with Business, OPS and tech teams to drive a common solution and define test scenarios for production rollout. This role offers exposure to banking domain complexity, cross-functional impact, and the opportunity to influence liquidity management capabilities at scale.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business, operations and technology teams to converge on a solution
• Perform data analysis using tools like Python and Excel
• Assess existing solutions and map to business requirements and gaps
• Translate business needs into technical design discussions with development teams
• Define test scenarios and acceptance criteria for implemented functionality
• Lead meetings with senior stakeholders to gain consensus and support

Key requirements

• Experience in cash management and intraday liquidity management for a financial institution
• Strong understanding of SWIFT messages related to payments, statements and intraday balances
• Good grasp of core Markets products (FX, money markets, fixed income) especially cashflow perspective
• Extensive experience with data analysis tools (Python, Excel)
• Awareness of industry trends and technology landscapes
• Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices
