Experience in sport, media, or entertainment is advantageous but not essential.Deadline: Not specifiedFees: NoneDescription:WSL Football is appointing its first dedicated Legal Counsel to help shape the legal foundations of the independent organisation responsible for the Barclays Women’s Super League and Barclays Women’s Super League 2. This is a commercially focused, hands-on role working closely with senior leaders to support strategic growth and establish scalable legal frameworks during a transformational stage of the organisation’s evolution.Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Contracting & Advisory: Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on commercial agreements including sponsorship, partnership, media, licensing, supplier, and technology agreements.
- Legal Operations: Manage NDAs, template development, competition terms, and establish scalable legal processes and workflows.
- Regulatory & Governance: Provide guidance on football regulatory frameworks (FA, UEFA, FIFA, and league regulations) and assist with governance and board documentation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with internal commercial, football, operations, and medical teams, as well as external clubs and partners across the country.
