Outsourced Senior Manager – Guildford

Overview

In this role you will lead a portfolio of SME clients, delivering an outsourced finance function and providing strategic financial guidance. You will oversee management accounts, forecasting, budgeting and statutory reporting while acting as a trusted advisor to owner-managed businesses. You’ll drive financial insights in client meetings and support commercial decisions, collaborating with tax, audit and payroll teams. This is a growth-focused, advisory-facing position with mentoring responsibility and a strong emphasis on value creation.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to SME clients, supporting financial strategy and performance
• Oversee management accounts, forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting
• Review accuracy of statutory reporting and compliance (VAT, HMRC, etc.)
• Lead regular client meetings, presenting financial insights and recommendations
• Identify risks and opportunities to aid commercial decisions
• Collaborate with internal teams across tax, audit and payroll
• Coach and mentor both internal staff and client finance teams

Key requirements

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong background in accounting practice, preferably outsourcing
• Experience with SMEs / owner-managed businesses
• Comfortable delivering financial insights to senior stakeholders
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Experience managing or mentoring team members
