General Manager – Dagenham

Overview

As General Manager, you will own the onsite build-to-rent development in Dagenham, leading the scheme end-to-end. You drive occupancy, rental growth and resident satisfaction while overseeing lettings, property management, facilities and safety. You will manage the operating budget, rent collection and reporting on financial performance, ensuring high standards and statutory compliance. You will build a strong resident community and lead ESG and social value initiatives. This role blends leadership with a hands-on, community-focused operations challenge in a fast-growing business.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operating budget, rent collection, arrears and ancillary income; report on financial performance
• Lead, recruit and develop the onsite team
• Drive occupancy, rental growth and resident satisfaction
• Ensure building maintenance and statutory compliance

• Lead ESG and social value initiatives

Key requirements

• 3+ years in a leadership role within build-to-rent or similar residential sector
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing P&L
• Genuine customer service focus and ability to lead a motivated team
• Propertymark, IRPM Level 3 or IOSH qualifications desirable
• Based within 30 minutes’ drive of the scheme and able to cover on-call duties
