Civils Design Engineer

Heathrow Airport, London (Four days on-site, one day working from home)

We’re recruiting a Civil Design Engineer to join a major infrastructure programme at Heathrow Airport.

This is an opportunity to work on complex aviation projects, managing the development and coordination of civil engineering designs through the full project lifecycle.

Whether you’re already operating at Senior level or you’re an experienced Design Engineer ready to take the next step, we’d be interested in hearing from you. Based at Heathrow, you’ll work closely with project teams, consultants, contractors and client stakeholders to ensure designs are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Coordinating and managing civil engineering design activities
• Working with consultants, contractors and project stakeholders
• Managing design interfaces across multidisciplinary teams
• Reviewing and developing design solutions
• Driving value engineering and innovation opportunities
• Ensuring compliance with quality, safety and design standards
• Supporting project delivery from concept through construction
• Engaging directly with Heathrow and wider project stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

• Experience coordinating civil engineering design activities
• Experience working across multidisciplinary project teams
• The ability to manage design packages and interfaces
• Experience leading design activities would be advantageous
• A willingness to support and share knowledge with less-experienced engineers
