Overview

Senior Associate in Bath responsible for high-value, complex personal injury matters with a focus on fatal road traffic accidents. You’ll work within a specialist PI team known for client care and technical excellence, handling sensitive cases and mentoring junior colleagues. The role combines case leadership with business development to support team growth and strategic goals. You will collaborate with experts, counsel, and stakeholders to deliver outstanding outcomes with a proactive, organized approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex caseload of fatal RTA claims and high-value PI matters
• Handle cases involving vulnerable clients, cycling injuries, and animal-related injuries
• Liaise with experts, counsel, referrers and key stakeholders
• Support the wider PI team and contribute to the department’s business plan
• Take on selected line management responsibilities and mentor junior colleagues
• Play a key role in growth and development of the team

Key requirements

• 6+ years PQE in personal injury
• Substantial experience in fatal RTA claims
• Strong client management skills and commitment to exceptional service
• Proven ability to generate new business through BD activity
• Excellent technical knowledge and sector awareness
• Ability to supervise, mentor and support junior colleagues (desirable)
• A proactive, organised and collaborative approach
• Desirable: solid business plan or growth proposition
