Senior Software Engineer II – Wise for Enterprise

Overview

In this role you will build and own public APIs for Wise Platform, enabling seamless onboarding and identity verification for partners. You’ll influence roadmaps, design scalable microservices, and ensure security and reliability. You’ll work in a cross-functional team to shape the KYC experience and partner integrations, delivering world-class onboarding capabilities. Responsibilities

• Design and build public-facing APIs for Wise Platform and partners
• Own and drive technical roadmaps within your domain
• Architect robust, scalable microservices with event-driven patterns
• Influence product roadmap and strategy with cross-functional teams
• Lead cross-team initiatives to unlock new features and partner value
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices through code reviews

Key requirements

• Strong foundation in Java or other JVM language and Spring
• Experience building and operating microservices
• Understanding of event-driven architecture and distributed systems
• Hands-on Kafka experience and robust event pipelines
• Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases, including data lifecycle for sensitive info
• Product-minded with data-driven decision making
• Experience leading cross-team initiatives and communicating with non-technical audiences
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex concepts
