Asda is looking for a Customer Delivery Driver to join its home delivery team at the Ivanhoe Avenue store in Inverness. This position would suit someone who enjoys driving, meeting customers and working independently while being part of a supportive supermarket team.
The Role
Deliver customers’ online grocery orders directly to their homes. Load the delivery van and prepare orders for delivery. Provide friendly and helpful customer service. Handle deliveries carefully and accurately. Keep the delivery van clean and ready for use. Carry out basic vehicle checks, with training provided. Support colleagues with picking and packing online orders during busy periods. Work alongside the store team to maintain a reliable delivery service. Follow company procedures and safe working practices. Help ensure customers receive their shopping in good condition.
Working Pattern
Permanent, part time position. 25 hours per week. Day shifts are listed for this position. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.
What We Are Looking For
A valid UK driving licence, full or automatic, held for at least 12 months. No more than six penalty points on your driving licence. A friendly and helpful approach to customers. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Reliability and willingness to take responsibility for deliveries. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A positive approach to customer service. Willingness to learn and complete the required training. Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings. Previous delivery experience is not specified as a requirement.
