Support Workers – Children’s Residential Home

Location: Derby

Pay: £13.30 per hour + £50 per sleep-in shift

The Role

• Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
• Help create a safe, stable and nurturing home environment.
• Support young people with their emotional, social and developmental needs.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Work closely with colleagues to provide consistent, child-centred care.
• Participate in activities that promote independence, confidence and positive outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• A caring, patient and resilient approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• An understanding of safeguarding and the needs of vulnerable young people.
• A willingness to work shifts, including sleep-ins.
• A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare is desirable, or a willingness to work towards it, subject to the role’s requirements.
