Vice President – HV Substation

Responsible for the strategic leadership, commercial growth and technical delivery of the HV Substations business, overseeing engineering teams delivering transmission projects across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams across primary plant, protection & control and substation design.
• Set business strategy, identify opportunities and support bids and proposals.
• Develop relationships with utilities, developers, contractors and equipment manufacturers.
• Oversee engineering quality, project delivery, resource planning and financial performance.
• Recruit, develop and retain engineering talent.
• Provide senior technical oversight and ensure compliance with client requirements and relevant standards.

Experience Required

• Significant experience in HV substation engineering, including senior leadership responsibility.
• A strong understanding of transmission substation design and project delivery.
• Experience within an engineering consultancy, including business development and commercial management.
• A track record of leading teams and managing key client relationships.
• An electrical engineering degree or equivalent; Chartered Engineer status preferred.
