We are expanding our Draughtsman team in the Naval Department for our Bristol office.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Develop detailed 2D/3D drawings for components and assemblies.
- Interpret technical specifications and engineering input to create accurate models.
- Work collaboratively with mechanical, structural, and electrical teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and design best practices.
- Maintain design documentation and support version control processes.
What are the required qualifications?
- Vocational qualification in Technical Drawing, CAD Design or a related technical field (e.g. HNC/HND, BTEC Level 3, Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Technology / Technical Design, a Draughtsperson or CAD Technician apprenticeship, or equivalent). A university degree is not required.
- Experience in CAD design (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX, Rhino or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and knowledge of technical drawing standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and schematics.
- Eligible to work in the UK and from our Bristol office.
Nice to have:
- Previous experience as a draughtsperson or CAD technician in naval, marine, offshore or defence projects.
- Familiarity with shipbuilding or structural drawing conventions.
