This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on production leader who enjoys motivating teams, improving processes and ensuring production targets are consistently achieved.

Working with a combination of automated assembly machinery and manual assembly equipment operating around the clock, you’ll play a key role in improving efficiency, supporting the workforce and maintaining smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Monitor team performance, provide support and help develop employees across the department.
  • Oversee the availability of machine spares and consumables, liaising with suppliers to ensure essential items are maintained.
  • Arrange service visits and maintenance support for assembly machinery and associated equipment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production processes, increase efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Take ownership of improvement initiatives, ensuring actions are implemented through to completion.
  • Support hands-on assembly activities when required to maintain production output.
  • Create and update Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support the training and development of new and existing team members.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to meet production and business requirements.

About You

We’re looking for a practical, organised and motivated production professional who can lead from the front and thrive in a demanding manufacturing environment.

  • At least 5-10 years’ experience working in a high-volume production or manufacturing setting.
  • A good understanding of assembly processes, automated machinery and manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the confidence to investigate production issues.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.
  • Excellent people-management skills, with the ability to motivate a team and manage performance effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving, continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A flexible approach, including a willingness to work outside standard hours periodically to spend time with each shift.

What’s on Offer?

  • The opportunity to join an established and growing manufacturing business.
  • A key role in increasing production capacity and improving operational performance.
  • Full on-the-job training and ongoing support to help you succeed in the position.
  • Opportunities for career development as the business continues to expand.
  • The chance to make a tangible impact on production output, team performance and continuous improvement.
