Monitoring Officer & Governance Strategy Lead

South Tyneside Council is seeking an inspirational Monitoring Officer to lead governance, legality and ethical conduct across the organisation. You will shape decision-making and provide authoritative advice to Members and senior officers.

As a standing member of the Corporate Leadership Team, you will oversee democratic, information governance and legal affairs, drive continuous improvement, and support the council’s transformation to a modern, values-driven public body.
