Your new company
A high-growth retail group is looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join its London finance team. This is a key leadership role within the business, managing a team of four and taking ownership of financial reporting, controls and the day-to-day running of the finance function. Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will play an important role in ensuring the finance function continues to develop and scale alongside the growth of the wider business.
Your new role
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing a team of four
- Ownership of the month-end close and management reporting process
- Overseeing statutory reporting, audit and compliance requirements
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow and working capital
- Ensuring robust financial controls and processes are maintained
- Driving improvements and efficiencies across finance systems and reporting
- Partnering with senior stakeholders across the wider business
- Supporting ad hoc projects as the group continues to grow
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong financial reporting and controllership experience. You’ll have proven team management experience and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Experience within retail, consumer or another multi-site environment would be advantageous, alongside a track record of improving processes and controls within a growing business.
What you’ll get in return
You’ll receive a salary of £75,000-£90,000 plus benefits, alongside the opportunity to join an ambitious, high-growth retail group in a broad and visible finance leadership role.
