Health and Safety Manager

Health and Safety Manager – Suffolk – heavy civil engineering project within the power sector – GBP65k–GBP70k+car/benefits – fantastic opportunity for a well–respected Principal Contractor with a strong people focus and opportunities for progression.

This is a full–time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety professional to support and maintain and develop health & safety standards across projects.

The Role:

• Supporting day–to–day health & safety across the site
• Ensuring compliance with current H&S legislation
• Developing and maintaining H&S policies and procedures
• Carrying out risk assessments, audits and site inspections
• Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions
• Providing H&S guidance, training and support to employees and management
• Promoting a strong health & safety culture throughout the business

The Candidate:

• Previous experience in a Health & SafetyManager or H&S Advisor role
• Preferably experience within the construction, heavy civil engineering or power sector
• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is desirable
• Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and best practice
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and influence others
