Senior Civil Engineer

Overview

You will lead Civil Engineering projects from design to delivery, focusing on drainage, highways, SuDS and flood risk. The role supports independent workload management, client liaison, and delivering practical, cost-effective solutions for a growing practice. Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initial design through to delivery across drainage, highways, SuDS and external works.
• Independently handle workload and deadlines with proactive communication to clients.
• Provide high-quality technical solutions and clear reporting.
• Engage with clients and influence project delivery methods.
• Operate in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment outside traditional consultancy structures.

Key requirements

• 4-5 years’ experience in civil engineering consultancy
• Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline
• Experience in drainage design, highways, SuDS and/or flood risk
• Proficiency in relevant design software and technical reporting
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and take ownership
