Software Release Manager CI/CD Automation SaaS

Overview

In this role you will own how software is packaged, released, and presented to customers within a growing SaaS environment. You will lead day-to-day releases for a product stack while shaping release practices across the technology estate. You’ll coordinate risks, dependencies, and readiness across multiple teams to balance speed, quality, security, and business risk. You’ll assess and automate release processes, reducing toil and embedding governance, security and compliance. You will define release readiness criteria and metrics to monitor health and environment promotion. This is a visible role that combines release management, DevOps, and coaching to lift release maturity.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day releases for assigned product stack
• Coordinate risks, dependencies and release readiness across multiple teams
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure and release automation
• Embed governance, security and compliance into delivery
• Define and improve release readiness criteria, delivery metrics and release health practices
• Coach and influence engineering teams to adopt better release practices
• Assess current release estate and lead initiatives to improve release maturity

Key requirements

• Strong Release Management experience in a SaaS product environment
• Experience improving CI/CD processes in complex environments
• Strong technical knowledge with ability to influence stakeholders
• Good technical understanding of Azure DevOps, GitHub, Infrastructure as Code, trunk-based development and GitOps
